REMINDER DEADLINE REGISTRATION GOVERNMENT EMERGENCY SUPPORT PACKAGE (NOW) AND LAST WEBINAR – APRIL 22

Tomorrow April 22, 2020 (at 24:00 hours) is the last day to register for one of the Government Emergency support packages announced under “ALIVIO 2”, i.e. the Government Emergency support package to maintain employment (so called NOW regulation) and there is also the last webinar (information session) tomorrow at 10 AM.

As indicated previously, the NOW regulation provides for Government support for companies that have a loss of income of at least 25% and operate in a specific sector (https://www.fondodisosten.org/nl/sectoren-voor-de-now-regeling/). The support is a compensation of 20% up to 80% of the salaries paid to employees, taking into account the percentage of loss of revenue. This is in principle determined based on the revenue declared for the month of April 2019. The maximum salary to be declared for support per employee is ANG 5.781. In this case, the support has initially been announced for a period of 3 months, but will be evaluated on a monthly basis. The current deadline of April 22, 2020 is for application of the support for the month of April 2020.

CONDITIONS

To apply certain condition apply. The conditions are as follows:

  • loss of revenue of at least 25%;
  • company should be in specific designated sector. If this is not the case, the company can contact [email protected] and indicate why they would qualify for the Emergency Support package.
  • the company should maintain all its employees (with contract for indefinite period of time);
  • the company should pay the (100%) regular salaries to employees;
  • the company should also provide with a recovery plan before 15 May 2020 and the filed April 2020 tax return for the turnover tax (TOT) and the social premiums.

RECOVERY PLAN

We understand that the conditions and format of the recovery plan will be standard and will be made available by next week. As an investment in our clients and future clients and as a sign of solidarity, we will assist our client (free of charge) with the recovery plan. As soon as more information is made available regarding the recovery plan, we will inform you thereof.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATION NOW

  • ZV/OV tax return for the month of February 2020
  • TOT (OB) tax return for the month of April 2019
  • Estimate of turnover for April 2020
  • List of all employees, including ID (sedula) number
  • ID (sedula) of statutory director(s)
