ROLE SUMMARY
The Director Technical Division is responsible for shaping, implementing, and overseeing PJIAE’s technical strategy, infrastructure, and maintenance operations. This ensures that all electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems, as well as airport facilities, operate efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements. By providing strategic technical leadership and operational oversight, the role supports the Managing Board in achieving long-term reliability, sustainability, and operational excellence across the airport.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enterprise Technical Leadership
- Set and lead PJIAE’s enterprise‑wide technical strategy aligned with long-term operational and organizational objectives.
- Translate technical vision into a structured roadmap covering maintenance, infrastructure development, and system optimization.
- Act as a core member of executive leadership, contributing to overall organizational strategy.
Technical Policy, Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement short- and long-term technical policies and operational plans.
- Prepare and execute the technical annual operational plan and contribute to the corporate business plan.
- Ensure effective allocation of technical resources and alignment with organizational requirements.
Operations and Maintenance Oversight
- Direct day-to-day technical operations of all PJIAE facilities.
- Oversee preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance for all systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure accurate documentation, schematics, and maintenance procedures are maintained and up to date.
Infrastructure, Systems and Project Management
- Lead development and execution of long-term technology and infrastructure plans.
- Guide technical projects, equipment acquisition, and contractor performance.
- Coordinate internal and external technical activities and ensure project delivery in line with plans.
Governance, Risk, Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all technical activities comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational policies.
- Act as safety and security coordinator to maintain safe working conditions.
- Monitor risks related to infrastructure, maintenance, and technical operations and ensure mitigation.
Organizational Leadership and People Management
- Lead and manage technical personnel to ensure compliance, operational reliability, and adherence to established standards and procedures.
- Drive workforce productivity, performance, quality assurance, and continuous improvement through effective problem-solving and change management.
- Develop and motivate a competent workforce through recruitment, training, performance management, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance against divisional objectives while overseeing key personnel matters and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor operational and maintenance performance and ensure targets are achieved.
- Evaluate results, resolve issues, and implement improvements in systems and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reliability, and service quality.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related technical field.
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a senior technical or leadership role.
- Strong technical expertise in complex electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems
- Proven experience in infrastructure planning, maintenance management, and technical operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
- Experience in quality assurance, process optimization, and operational improvement
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Remuneration is competitive and will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
• The position may require occasional travel to attend meetings, conferences, and
site visits.
